Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Bassinet. By creating an account or allowing a child to use Bassinet, the parent or legal guardian agrees to these terms on behalf of themselves and the child. Please read them carefully.
Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Bassinet application ("the App" or "the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.
These terms apply to WareActics Corporation / Baby Learn Online Inc. ("Bassinet," "we," "us," or "our") and all users of the platform, including parent or guardian account holders and the children whose accounts they manage.
Eligibility — Ages 0–13 Only
Bassinet is exclusively for children ages 0–13. Users are placed in one of five age groups: Baby (0–2), Toddler (3–4), Child (5–8), Preteen (9–11), or Teen (12–13). Content is shown only within a child's own age group to maintain a safe environment.
Children may only use Bassinet with a parent or legal guardian's verifiable consent. Adults may not create personal accounts to interact with children on the platform. Any attempt to misrepresent age will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
Account Creation and Parental Consent
To create a Bassinet account for a child, a parent or legal guardian must:
- Provide a valid parent or guardian email address
- Verify the email address by entering the code sent by Bassinet
- Set up the child's profile (display name, age group, optional profile picture)
- Acknowledge and accept these Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy
By completing account creation, the parent or guardian confirms that they are at least 18 years old and have legal authority to consent on behalf of the child. One account per child. Creating multiple accounts for the same child is prohibited.
Parental Responsibilities
As a parent or guardian, you are responsible for:
- Supervising your child's use of Bassinet at an age-appropriate level
- Ensuring your child understands and follows our Community Guidelines
- Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized account access
- Reporting any content or behavior that concerns you via support@bassinetapp.com
Bassinet is designed to be safe, but no platform can replace engaged, present parenting. We encourage parents to talk with their children about appropriate online behavior.
Acceptable Use Policy
Bassinet is a place for joy, creativity, and genuine connection between kids. The following are strictly prohibited on the platform:
- Uploading adult content, nudity, or sexually suggestive material
- Bullying, harassment, threats, or intimidation of any kind
- Content that is violent, hateful, or discriminatory
- Sharing personal information such as home address, school name, or phone number
- Impersonating another person or creating a misleading profile
- Attempting to contact or communicate with children outside the platform
- Circumventing or attempting to bypass the age-group system
- Uploading content that does not feature the account holder
- Using the platform for any commercial or advertising purpose
- Uploading content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
Violations of this policy may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination. Serious violations — including any that endanger a child's safety — will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Content and Intellectual Property
You own the content your child creates. By uploading content to Bassinet, you grant WareActics Corporation a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to display, store, reproduce, and moderate that content solely for the purpose of operating the platform.
All videos uploaded to Bassinet are automatically watermarked with the Bassinet logo before appearing on the timeline. This watermark is applied to protect the integrity of the platform and the identity of the content as belonging to Bassinet's ecosystem.
Bassinet reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, with or without notice. We do not guarantee that removed content can be recovered.
All Bassinet platform assets — including the logo, wordmark, engagement icons (Gold Pop, Red Pop, Gold Star), and application design — are the exclusive property of WareActics Corporation and may not be reproduced or used without written permission.
The Bassinet Engagement System
Bassinet's engagement features — Gold Pops, Red Pops, and Gold Stars — are platform recognition features only. They have no monetary value, cannot be purchased, sold, transferred, or redeemed for any product or service.
- Gold Pops are a finite, non-replenishing currency of appreciation
- Red Pops can be given once per video per Pal
- Gold Stars are awarded exclusively by the Bassinet platform team
Bassinet reserves the right to modify, reset, or remove engagement features at any time as part of platform updates, at our sole discretion.
Platform Rules and Moderation
All content on Bassinet is reviewed before it appears on the timeline. We do not use fully automated content approval. A human review step is part of our commitment to keeping every child safe.
Our moderation team may approve, reject, or request changes to content at any time. Approval of content on one occasion does not guarantee approval of similar content in the future. Decisions made by our moderation team are final.
Account Termination
Either party may terminate a Bassinet account at any time. Parents may request account deletion by emailing support@bassinetapp.com.
Bassinet reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate any account that violates these Terms of Use, without notice. We are not liable for any loss of content or account history resulting from termination.
Upon termination, all data associated with the account will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Bassinet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
While we review all content before it is published, we cannot guarantee that the platform will be free of all content that some users may find inappropriate. We rely on our community and parental oversight to help maintain our standards.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, WareActics Corporation shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Bassinet, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the platform shall not exceed the greater of $100 USD or the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, for a free platform, is $0).
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree to resolve disputes with Bassinet individually and not as part of a class action.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use periodically. Material changes will be communicated to parents via email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Bassinet after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
